Ehm kayaknya akan terjadi banyak peristiwa dalam keluarga gue nih. Dan ini ga bisa dicegah. Gue juga ga bisa bilang ini berita buruk atau bagus, cuma ya kayaknya mendadak aja gitu. Untunglah gue udah lumayan stabil untuk menghadapi "serangan-serangan baru".

Btw gue tadi iseng-iseng buka alkitab yang ada bahasa inggris dan indonesia, jadi lumayan gede dan tebal hihihihi itu pemberian nyokap waktu ultah gue kemaren, cuma baru sekarang ini gue buka-buka.

Gue tertarik dengan kisah Daud waktu menghadapi Goliat. Disitu benar-benar ada penyertaan Tuhan sehingga Daud bisa mengalahkan Goliat dengan cara yang ajaib.

Ada dialog yang menarik untuk diperhatikan yaitu pada saat Daud berbicara kepada Saul.

And Saul said to David, "You are not able to go against this Philistine to fight with him; for you are a youth, and he a man of war from his youth." (I Samuel 17:33)

But David said to Saul, "Your servant used to keep his father's sheep, and when a lion or a bear came and took a lamb out of the flock, I went out after it and struck it, and delivered the lamb from its mouth; and when it arose against me, I caught it by its beard, and struck and killed it. Your servant has killed both lion and bear; and this uncircumcised Philistine will be like one of them, seeing he has defied the armies of the living God." (I Samuel 17: 34-36)

Daud berani melawan Goliat bukan karena nekat, tapi karena :

"The lamp of body is the eye. Therefore, when your eye is good, your whole body also is full of light. But when your eye is bad, your body also is full of darkness." (Luke 11:34)

Bayangkan di antara begitu banyak pasukan, cuma Daud yang saat itu punya pikiran jernih. Sehingga Daud bisa melihat sesuatu yang tidak baik, dan berusaha mencegahnya. Bukankah kita juga sering dihadapkan sesuatu yang tidak baik, tapi kita sering membiarkan hal itu terjadi.

"The heed what you hear. With the same measure you use, it will be measured to you, and to you who hear, more will be given." (Mark 4:24)

Apalagi ketika kita tahu bahwa kita tidak mampu untuk mencegahnya. Dan Daud juga sadar akan "the measure he use". Tapi Daud sudah punya pengalaman dengan Tuhan, the measure of David was added (ingat I Samuel 17: 34-36)

"No one, when he has lit a lamp, puts it in a secret place or under basket, but on a lampstand, that those who come in may see the light." (Luke 11:33)

Dan pelita yang menyala itu seumpama doa JC kepada Bapa :

"Father, I desire that they also whom You gave Me may be with Me where I am, that they may behold My glory which You have given Me: for You loved Me before the foundation of the world." (John 17:24)
